So here we are at the end of our first week of rehearsals, and what an exciting week it’s been! Our Director Richard Cornally has been thrilled with how deeply the cast are exploring their characters, and is very excited to see the show finally coming up off the page. “It’s amazing to see how much progress the cast has made already after just one week. It’s like they were born to the roles," says Richard. “I feel incredibly blessed as a director – I did all the hard work in the casting and now I just have to get out of the way and let them do their thing!”
The legends at Cobbstar Studios came to our rescue this weekend, when we found ourselves with no place to rehearse on Sunday. Check them out at www.cobbstarproductions.com/studios/. They’re an awesome resource to have here in Sydney.
We also released our poster this week – we hope you like it! Credit for the photo goes to the very talented Caroline McLean-Foldes, while graphic design kudos goes to the wonderful Sam Wade.
We’ve had some more amazing help from Philas (the Philatelic Association of NSW), who have been fabulous supporters of the show through their continued research into the many philatelic references in the play. If you’re a collector yourself, or looking to find an entry into philately, Philas is a fantastic resource. Their next Open Day is 17th June and their next stamp auction is 8th July. http://philas.org.au/
We are only days away from releasing our trailer and launching our crowdfunding campaign too, so keep your eyes peeled for those this week!
Until next week: Peace Out, Sure Footers!
